Research, development, and innovation are strategic pillars that drive our growth, provide unique value to our professionals and patients, and simultaneously raise the standards of clinical care.

In recent years, we have produced over 200 scientific publications in the most prestigious and high-impact international journals, consolidating our position as the leading group in scientific output in the sector. Nearly half of our research projects are conducted in collaboration with colleagues from other countries, reflecting our strong international presence. 

This scientific leadership is supported by intense research activity in three major thematic areas: anterior segment, posterior segment, and technology and basic research. These areas cover diverse lines such as new surgical techniques, advanced therapies, and technological development, all fully aligned with our clinical strengths—refractive surgery, ocular surface, and retina—directly translating into better patient care and outcomes.
